A Note from Sam Levine, President
Massachusetts Children’s Fund
Six years ago, largely through our volunteer work with foster children through the local DSS office, we learned of the countless challenges faced by children here in the Commonwealth. The information was staggering. Literally thousands upon thousands of infants and toddlers are going to bed hungry, or are, at the very least, not receiving “proper balanced nutrition.” Until recently, even the very state system designed to feed babies in need was unable to provide baby food. Formula is given in amounts that many parents find just doesn’t take them from month to month. Diapers are typically not provided at all. In order to fill this loophole in the system the Massachusetts Children’s Fund was formed. Together with your help, we can join forces in an effort to feed and nourish the young children throughout the state
Our organization is staffed completely by volunteers, ensuring that 100% of your donation goes to the hungry children of Massachusetts. We have no overhead, pay no salaries, and reimburse for no expenses by our volunteers, so when we say that every dime goes directly to the children, we mean it!
If you have any questions about the Massachusetts Children’s Fund, or would like to volunteer to help, please don’t hesitate to contact me directly.
